Abstract

From Foreword: Keeping pace with the momentum generated has been the major challenge o f this year. This has also been a year when the sangham women and we had begun to interact with and participate in other programs. In the past few years we concentrated on mobilising and organising women into sanghams. However, we recognise that sanghams do not exist in isolation, and are constantly engaged in a dynamic relationship with their environment. Now that the programme has gained m confidence and experience, there is a need to widen its links, This means, however, that the terms o f these interactions are set by us to ensure that the larger Mahila Samakhya objectives and processes are not set aside.
