Abstract

Mahila Samakhya project was envisaged In the light of this acceptance of National Education Policy that important intervention could be made by education in empowering women and making them available status of equality. This programme aims at creating such an environment where women may develop better understanding of their condition through collective discussions and may come out of the state of helplessness end become so empowered that they may play effective role in changing the surrounding environment. Simultaneously they may forge ways/avenues of development of their families and other women. This is why this programme has been looked upon as a process oriented programme, and not data oriented.
