Abstract

From Foreword: The overwhelming response that Rajasthan Council of Primary Education received from people throughout the ten DPEP districts and from others, even before the programme is formally put to action, has made us all the more determined and committed to the task ahead. Not that the people who joined in laying the foundation of DPEP Rajasthan are unaware of the growing expectations and the challenges in Primary Education. They are the people who on the basis of their long and varied experiences have thoroughly acquainted themselves with the real issues in education and the real potentialities of the school. They have a kind of perception about what is going to happen during the coming years in the field of education.
