dc.description.abstract | The Union Government as well as the State Government have resolved for universalisation of elementary education. As per this goal all children of school going age i.e. 6-14 years should have access to normal school facility or alternate schooling facility. Under this programme, the norm of providing a regular school for 200 population in hilly areas and for 300 population in other areas has been contemplated. It has further been recommended that for such habitations one primary school will be located within a radius of l(one) km. and one Upper primary school will be located within every 3 (three) kms. | en_US |
