Draft Eighth Five-Year Plan 1992-97 & Annual Plan 1992-93 Maharashtra State Part I

Abstract

From An Outline: With the VIII Plan period commencing from the year 1992-93 the country would launch upon a Five Year Plan period which would in many ways be different from the Plans of the past.This Plan is being prepared against the background of a macro economic crisis of unprecedented dimensions and a programme of economic reform and structural adjustment "with human face" which has been undertaken by the Government of India. The measures initiated by the Govt. of India constitute a watershed in the economic history of independent India. The economic reforms adopted by the Govt, of India are bound to get reflected in different aspects of the development process.
