dc.description.abstractThe Planning Commission approved an outlay of Rs.14 crores for the territory's Fourth Five Year Plan.There was considerable physical expansion in Education during the first three plans. Emphasis in consolidating and improving the existing institutions during this plan was stressed on. Science Agriculture and Commerce subjects was planned in selected schools to make education more work oriented and at university level it was planned in Government Arts College, Port Blair. The fourth plan also planned more intake in Teachers Training School.en_US
