| Abstract: | Tripura had hardly any development programme prior to its integration with India in 1949. Due to various reasons development work was actually taken up only from the third year of the First Five Year Plan. According to the strategy suggsted by the Planning Commission for the formulation of the Fourth Five Year plan, the Government prepared a Draft Annual Plan for 1970-71 in the order of this. 979,668 lakhs, keeping in view the policies and programmes which would help in the attainment to steady progress in economic self-reliance. |
