Abstract

From Foreword: The Census of Government employees working in different Departments/ Offices of Chandigarh Administration is brought out annually by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, (Statistical Cell) U.T. Chandigarh. The scope and coverage of the present publication has been further enlarged by introducing some new tables and improving upon the existing tables. This publication will provide Group-wise information regarding sanctioned, filled-up posts and the number of employees belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and those on deputation from Punjab, Haryana and other States. It will also provide concise and reliable information to the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments.
