Abstract

From Preface: The District Primary Education Project - Plan for Raichur district has been a triangular effort wherein the bureaucracy and the executives of the Department of Education and other developmental departments from the State, academicians from research Institutes and Universities as well as people of the district including the ‘man-on-the street', the members of elected bodies at all levels, the non-governmental organisations, the social workers, the youth and women's organisations have all participated. It has taken into account the deliberations of various National level. State level, District-level and sub-district level meetings on the subject.
