Abstract

From Introduction: The present volume, which is the third in the series of yearly reviews, embodies factual details about the progress of the Second Five Year Plan during its third year i. e. 1958-59. The review, as usual, seeks to present a balanced account of achievements, both in financial and physical terms, vis-a-vis the targets laid down for the year. For ensuring comparability, the report follows the same pattern as that for the previous years.
