From Introduction: It is a well established truth that a gender bias that Is inimical to women in all aspects of life, exists to a greater or lesser degree, in every part of the world. With the advent of suffragette movement, followed by the militant feminism of the sixties, mature societies, have woken up to the unthinking discrimination practiced against women in the guise of tradition or culture.
