The pace is associated with the memory of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Here he fought his last battle with Mughals in 1705. Forty muktas laid-down their lives in this battle. In the memory of forty muktas it is known as Mukatsar. Its early name was Khadrane-Ki-Dhab.en_US
