Abstract

The Sate economy has been under severe strain during the 1st two years on account of inflationary conditions in the country. Scanty and erratic rainfall in the State results in drought conditions in 21 districts where 19859 village had been declared scarcity affected. The State Government have organised the relief measures to provide relief to the affected people as also quicken the progress of developmental works. Policy measures adopted by the Central and the State Governments to check inflation have also had a desired effect in restoring price stability.
