dc.description.abstractFrom Introduction: In Nagaland the Ministry of Education looks after the educational needs of the people by providing pre-primary, middle, secondary, technical, adult and non-formal, physical education and sports as well as higher education. There are four Directorates, namely Directorate of School Education, Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training. Each of these Directorates has specific area of responsibilities assigned. The Directorate of School Education looks after pre-school, elementary, secondary and adult and non-formal education in the State. All Government as well as private schools follow a uniform curriculum prescribed by the State.en_US
