| Abstract: | From Literacy of the District: The total literates in the district of Kalahandi standes at 294617 having a rural urban break up of 253897 (RURAL) & 40720(URBAN).The total number of male literates comes to 22222 while that in case of the female comes to 72394. the total literacy rates for the district is 31.08 % with male female break ups at 46.83% and 15.28% respectively. The rural literacy rates is 28.78% in the district with male female break ups at 44.69% and 12.96% The urban literacy rates is 61.08 % with male female break ups 74.48% and 47.91% respectively. |
