Abstract: From Introduction: Balasore is a magnificent coastal District in the north end of Orissa. It is a renowned district famous tor its ancient glory and pioneer in the field of art and culture, education and literature. The name Balasore derived from ancient people. Some people opine that the place was named after “Bali Sahar”. The British took over its administration during first part of eighteenth Century. The Britishers used Balasore as the gate way of Orissa through Pipili port on the Bay of Bengal during seventeenth Century AD.
