| Abstract: | From Chapt. 1: In the year 940 there was a “Kandha Sabar” named “Anu Balahant Ray. He called himself the king of Angul kingdom. A conspiracy was formed against him and was killed. The after the land was called Anugul. This Kingdom was ruled over by many kings for near about 897 years. The last independent king was Somonath Singh Jaggadev. He was deprived off his State on 18.12.1847 by the Commissioner of East India Company. |
