| Abstract: | From Preface: This annual report tries to present the efforts of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in its second year of implementation. Mainstreaming out-of-school children into the school fold was taken up in a big way. Bridge courses called 'Chinnara Angola' and Several other programmes such as Baa Marali Shaalege (Back to school programme), Beedihinda Shallege (Street to school) Kooliyinda Shaalege (from labour to school) Baa Baale Shaalege (Back to school programme for girls) were implemented. 'Sanchaari Shaale' - the mobile schools were also started to achieve Universalisation of Elementary Education. |
