Abstract: From Back Ground of Tumkur District: Tumkur district is one among 27 districts of Karnataka state having an area of 10596 sq. kilometers. The district is surrounded by Bangalore & Kolar towards east, towards west Hassan and Chitradurga Dists and Ananthapur district of Andhra in north The district is having diversity in geographical social and cultural activities. There are 10 taluks in (his district. Major language spoken is Kannada. Hence the medium of instructions in all Govt. schools is Kannada and Urdu in all govt. Urdu schools. Urdu is also found to be the second spoken language of the District. As such there are 175 urdu medium schools in the district. There is one Arabic school at Kunigal. One Telugu medium primary school is functioning in Pavagada taluk of this dist.
