National Scheme For Inservice Training For School Teachers in Karnataka: A Report 1986

Abstract

The project document of orientation programmes for school teachers envisaged qualitative changes in the process of education by enhancing the professional competence of the teachers and their re-orientation to the new roles in the implementation of New Education Policy. The focal points, objectives, methodology, organisational infrastructure, equipment and materials and activity schedule were also indicated for implementation. The programmes were taken up in right earnestness in Karnataka as per N.C,E.R.T. guidelines will financial support of the central and State Governments, Government of India through NCERT has provided Rs. 52,05 lakhs and Government of Karnataka has sanctioned Rs. 11.24 lakhs for whole programme.
