Indian Analysis of Budgeted Expenditure on Education 1976-77 to 1978-79

Abstract

From Introduction: As in the earlier years, the present publication contains a detailed analysis of budgeted expenditure on education in the States/UTs, and at the Centre for the years 1976-77 (Actual), 1977-78 (Revised Estimates) and 1978-79 (Budget Estimates). Besides giving the details of the budgeted expenditure on education in the central; Sector, both on revenue and capital accounts, it gives state- wise details of the similar budget provisions for various sectors of education. While the information relating to the central sector has been compiled from Demands for Grants, the information relating to States and union Territories with legislatures has been compiled from their respective budget documents for the year 1978-79.
