Abstract

From Foreword: The primary function of the State Planning Board as detailed in the Government order of 30th July, 1982 reconstituting the Board is “to study in depth the different aspects of the State’s economy and development and on the basis of the assessment of the progress made during the last 25 years, and in the context of the special problems facing the State, suggest the objectives and profiles of future planned effort up to 2000 AD”. In order to assist the State Planning Board in the discharge of this function, Government constituted in October, 1982 five High Level Committees on the following subjects.
