Abstract

I have great pleasure in releasing the State Tables of Fourth All India Educational Survey concerning this Pradesh. The survey reveals wealth of data in the field of school population vis-a-vis actual number of children in schools including those belonging to S.C./S.T.; the distance to be covered by a child to have access to school; teaching posts sanctioned and teachers in position; academic and professional qualification of teachers; sex-wise number of teachers in rural/urban area schools; types and ownership to buildings; number of rooms available and rooms required, play grounds, games and games material; availability of black boards, chalks, tables, chairs, mats and mattings in schools; provision of facilities of book-banks, libraries, mid day meals, free writing materials, drinking water etc.
