Abstract: From Preface: The pressure of unemployment has been building up over a long period; it has now reached explosive heights in Kerala. The problem needs to be tackled on a warfooting. A.s per G.O.(Rt) No. 255|70| Pig. dated 13-11-1970 a Committee consisting of Professors P. G. K. Panikar and T. N. Krishnan, University of Kerala, Prof. K. S . L. Panikkar, Chief Evaluation Officer, and Dr. P. K. Gopalakrishnan, Member-Secretary, State Planning Board was constituted to undertake a study of the problem of unemployment in all its aspects with a view to suggesting remedial measures capable of creating an immediate impact.
