Abstract

From Elementary Education: Elementary Education has been identified as on of the priority Sectors of the Departments. Under the sector we are committed to provide elementary stage Schooling facilities within easy waling distance so that all the children in the age group 6-14 years are covered to achieve the National target for Universalisation of Elementary Education by the end 1990. As per 4th All India Educational Survey 1000 School-less habitations were identified which had not any schooling facilities within the walking distance of 1 Km. and not any schooling facilities within the walking distance of 1 km. and out of this we have covered about 400 habitations by the end of 1981-82.
