Abstract

From Preface: Financing higher education has become a matter of great concern to all those interested in higher education and development of the State. Though the State Government assistance to the universities has increased considerably in recent years the actual position is that there is a serious mismatch between income and expenditure. With this background in view an attempt has been made to collect relevant data relating to the finances of the University of Kerala to identify major development issues and problems the university is facing.
