Draft Seventh Five Year Plan (1985-90) and Draft Annual Plan 1985-86 (Education and Scientific Services) (Andaman & Nicobar Administration)

Abstract

The territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has been declared as Educationally backward. Majority of the children who are attending the schools belong either to the weaker sections of the society or are tribals. All of them are first generation learners. We had not been able to bring about any qualitative improvement so far as the children do not get- any aid at their homes after schools hours nor find any educational environment in the villages.
