dc.description.abstractFrom Introduction: Kathua District is situated in the South of East of Jammu and Kashmir State and bounded on the North by Tehsils of Ramnagar and Bhadarwah of Udhampur and Doda Districts respectively, Samba tehsil of Jammu district touches in the North West, the Shakar Garh Tehsil of Pakistan and Gurdaspur district of Punjab fall on south and Chamba of Himachal Pardesh in the East. On the South west lies the International Border with Pakistan. The Northern point of the district is situated in the foot hills of Himalayas and includes the Shivalik range. The southern point is alluvial plains. It lies roughly between 32.17" -32.55" North latitude and 75.70 -75.17 East Longitude.en_US
