dc.description.abstractFrom Introduction: The state of Gujarat comprises of 25 districts. Prior to independence, the state comprised of 222 small and big kingdoms. After independence, kings were ruling over various princely states. Late Shri Vallabhbhai Patel, the then Honorable Home Minister of Government of India united all these small kingdoms into Gujarat-Bombay state (Bilingual State) during 1956. In accordance with the provision of the above-mentioned Act, the state of Gujarat was formed on 1 of May, 1960.en_US
