| Abstract: | From Introduction: It is our bad luck that the education in the State of Bihar is in poor shape .The condition in Muzaffarpur district is not different. Literacy percentage is low(lower than Bihar average). Female literacy is very low(18.62%) especially in the SC population(2%). Most of the schools are in dilapidated condition with scant attention to other physical facilities.The female population is held in low esteem especially in the rural areas.Sex ratio has fallen from 963 to 906 (1991-census). |
