Abstract: The Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is situated on the Western Cost of the Indian Continent between the parallels 28.o and 20*.25 of latitude North and between the meridian 72°-50’ and 73°-15 of longitude* This territory with geographical compactness comprises of two pockets, viz Dadra of three village and Nagar Haveli consisting of 69-village. It is surrounded by talukas of Bulsar District (Gujarat State) in East and North and Thana District (Maharashtra State) in South and West. The area of the Territory is 4 91.00 Sq.Km, having 72 villages divided into Ten Administrative Patelads. Silvassa, the Capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is at, a distance of about 17 -Km and 15-Km from Vapi and Bhilad railway stations, respectively.
