Abstract

From Preface: Universalisation of Elementary Education is a Constitutional obligation. Introduction of Article 21(A) further indicates the shared responsibility of the State and Parents, who have been made responsible party for attaining the goal of UEE. With a view to hasten the pace of reaching the goal of UEE through time bound, focused initiatives, with missionary zeal, the District Board of Education at district level and Block Board of Education at block level have been constituted In collaboration with the Assam Sarba Siksha Abhijan Mission in the State level.
