A Picture of Karnataka Budget 1987-88

Abstract

From Preface: The brochure “ A Picture of Karnataka Budget, is compiled every year to present the details in the State Budget in an easily understandable form by means of statistical tables. In Part I of the brochure are indicated the salient features of the Budget for 1987-88 along with the revised estimates for 1986-87 and actuals previous year. Part II of the brochure aims at presenting the sectoral distribution of the plan expenditure incurred in respect of Annual Plan past few years and those anticipated plan expenditure for 1986-87 and the plan emerges out of the Budget for 1987-88 as now presented. The development outlay purpose of this brochure cover the State Plan, Centrally Sponsored Schemas and Central Plan Schemes as also the expenditure on Irrigation Projects under Cauvery hasin awaiting clearance from Government of India. Part II also indicates the population of Indian State (estimated under mid year population). The actuals for 1985-86 are provisional subject to re-conciliation.
