Abstract

From Background & Methodology: This is the report of an appraisal study of one of the Rural Functional Literacy Projects in operation in Bihar, The study was conducted to examine the working of this project in relation to programme objectives. The evaluation has been done through field survey method involving interviews with selected learners, drop-outs, instructors, supervisors and the Project Officer, Responses recorded on interview schedules supplemented by observations during the survey, helped the drawing the inferences.
