Abstract: | From Overview: Enrolment data and age-specific literacy rates have made it amply clear that much progress has been made in India in expanding access to education. In 1993-94, about 108 million children were enrolled in primary school, up from 1009 million in 1990. This has further increased to 109.8 million in 1995-96. |
