| Abstract: | Puducherry is one of the few States/UT which had been implementing a mid day meal scheme for the benefit of the school going students even before the implementation of MDMS by Central Government. The Mid Day Meal Programme is being implemented for the students from I to VIII Std. availing financial assistance under the Flagship Programme of MDMS, whereas the Puducherry Government has been implementing the MDMS to cover the Pre Primary and the students studying upto to XII Std. |
