Education in India 1985-86 Volume 1 (C)

Abstract

The publication, “Education in India” is brought out annually by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education. This publication contains the details of educational statistics for All India basis and for states as well. The publication is brought out in three volumes. Volume 1 and Volume II contain numerical and financial data respectively and Volume III relates to the examination results. Prior to the year 1984-85, Volume If was covering the data for schools as well as for colleges. But from the year 1984-85, this volume has been bifurcated into two i.e. Volume 1 (S) covering the numerical data on school education and Volume I (C) covering the numerical data on college education and higher education. This publication Volume 1(C) is for 11985-86 for numerical data covering the information pertaining to institutions, enrolment and teachers relating only to Higher Education.
