dc.description.abstractThe Persons With Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995 has placed responsibility on the Government to ensure that every child with a disability has access to free education in an appropriate environment till he/she attains the age of 18 years. The 86th Constitutional Amendment has also made education a Fundamental Right for all children from 6-14 years of age. This also applies to children with special educational needs.en_US
