Education in India 1978-79 Volume 2: State Wise Breakup of What is Portrayed at National Level in Part 1

Abstract

“Education in India Vol. 11-1978-79' is the third in the series since this Ministry introduced a revised system of educational statistics in pursuance of the recommendation of the Standing Committee on Educational Statistics. This publication consists of two parts- Part-I depicts a general survey, giving consolidated picture of ill-India statistics while Part-II provides the State-wise break up of what is portrayed at national level in Part I. The report is based on the material supplied by the Education Directorates of the States and Union Territories. The interpretation on the basis of material received in General Survey of Part-I which is only factual in nature.
