Education in India 1993-94 Vol. 1 (S): Numerical Data on School Education

Abstract

"Education in India" is an annual publication of the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The publication is brought out in three volumes, volume l(s) containing numerical data on school Education, volume II(s) Financial Data on school Education, & Volume in Examination Results of matriculation and higher levels. The present publication vol. I (s) relates to the year 19593-94 and contains state-wise statistic s on School Education enrolment, institutions, teachers and drop out rates, etc. Some of the other important indicators like dependency rates, percentage decrease/increase in the number of out of school children according to 1981 and 1991 census have been included in this publication for the country as a whole and also for different states/UTs. Educational statistics in respect of the year 1993-94 mainly relates to VI A ll India Educational survey.
