Education in India: School Education (Financial Data) 1995-96

Abstract

“Education in India” is an annual publication of the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The present publication relates to school education for the year 1995-96 and contains State-wise statistics on income by source and expenditure by item etc. in respect of school education. This publication is divided into two parts. Part -I contains the All India financial statistical tables of school education and its analysis during the year 1995-96. It also contains time series data on income, expenditure (recurring & non-recurring) and per student expenditure by type of institutions, while Part II consists of State-wise statistical tables. The data presented in this publication is based on the information collected from the States and Union Territories through the ES-II (S) forms.
