The broad principles and objectives of education have remained focussed towards achieving the basic goals of education relating to productivity, modernization, development of social, moral and spiritual values and above all to the life, needs and aspirations of the people. The National Policy on Education adopted in 1968, was based on the recommendations of the Education Commission (1964-66).en_US
