| Abstract: | The Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes was set up in 1978 by a Resolution of the Ministry of Home Affairs No. BC-13013/9/77-SCT(1) dated 21st July, 1978. The Commission comprises a Chairman and three Members. The Special Officer appointed under Article 338 of the Constitution i.e. the Commissioner for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is an ex-officio Member of the Commission. |
