Abstract: This publication# which is brought out annually gives a detailed analysis of Budget Provisions made by various States and Central Ministries for the development of. education during 1984-85. As per set pattern/ Budget documents for 1984-85 also include the Revised Estimates for 1983-84 and Actual Expenditure for 19.82-83 for various programmes of education being implemented in the States and at the Centre. The information contained in this publication has been derived from Demands for Grants of the Central Ministries and the Budget Documents of the States and Union ' Territories as presented in the State Legislatures.
