Expenditure on Education as shown in Central and State Annual Budgets 1977-78 to 1979-80.

Abstract

As in previous years, the present publication contains a detailed analysis of ‘Budgeted Expenditure on Education in the States/Union Territorios and at the Centre for the year 1977-78 (Actuals), 1978-79 (Revised Estimates) and 1979-80 (Budget Estimates). Besides giving the details o f the budgeted expenditure on educcation in the Central Sector, both on Revenue and Capital Accounts. It also gives State/Union Territory wise details o f similar budget provision for various sectors of education. While the information in regard to Central sector has been compiled from Demands for Grants, the information relating to States and Union Territory with legislature has been compiled from respective budget documents for the year 1979-80.
