Abstract

This publication, which is ninth in the series, makes available the latest information on the budget provision for education for all the States/Union Territories and at the Centre. It contains an analysis of budgeted expenditure for the years 1974-75 (Actuals), 1975-76 (Ravised Estimates) and 1976-77 (Budget Estimates in respect of education. While the data in respect of States and Union Territories with Legislatures has been taken from the respective 1976-77 budget documents, the data in respect of centrally administered Union Territories and Central Ministeries/Departments has been taken from the respective Demands for Grants for the year 1976-77.
