Abstract

The uniqueness of JNU is evident from its basic philosophy, policies and programmes which are spelt out and embodied in the University Act. Accordingly, the University has always striven to evolve such policies and programmes of study as would be a qualitative and distinct addition to the national resource base in higher education instead of reflecting, The JNU Annual Report 2014-15 mere quantitative expansions of the existing facilities. The University thus has been concentrating on programmes that are of relevance to national progress and development.
