Abstract: The report emphasizes the fact that to accomplish meaningful learning, evaluation should be linked to ‘Learning Outcomes’ and ‘Institutional goals’. The essence of the report is that the assessment process should test the learning outcomes, knowledge gained, attitudes developed and skills mastered by a student during an academic programme. It intends to promote ‘student centric learning’ by reforming the existing evaluation system in the Higher Education Institutions, with ‘continuous evaluation’ of students’ performance.
