State Learning Achievement Survey 2014 Standard VII SSA Goa

Abstract

After the enactment of the RTE Act 2009, the emphasis of the 12th Five Year Plan is to further improve the Quality of Education in general and elementary education in particular. In order to achieve the vision of 12th Five Year Plan, knowledge of learning trends amongst the students is essential. There is also a need to understand possible impact of various inputs like schooling facility, Teaching Methodology, Teacher Training etc. on students‟ academic attainment. In view of the above, it was proposed to conduct a survey to measure the academic achievement of students of Class VII along the lines of the NAS conducted by NCERT. It was proposed to cover both the districts of Goa with a total sample of 100 schools, 50 schools from each district, both Government and Aided schools.
