Abstract

To achieve universalisation of elementary education, the approach of micro planning and community involvement is widely accepted. The village community will be made aware of their responsibility towards elementary education and will undertake school mapping to ensure that every child in the village has access to elementary education. For this, a comprehensive survey will be conducted to identify the children of school going age who are not going to schools, the causes in the context of socio-economic milieu of the village and the existing educational facilities vis a vis the need of the village.
